I'm Marisa Redondo, an artist and illustrator living in Northern California. I work primarily with watercolors and oils. Most of my watercolors are nature inspired – all about the earth, our roots, and the sweetness life brings. My animal illustrations are often requested by my son, River and are inspired by his wild uplifting nature.

Art has always been my greatest love. Growing up in the heart of San Diego, drawing was how I found a calm balance in the busy city. Once moving to Northern California, for the first time in my life, I was surrounded by open space. I'm fascinated by nature's creations and the little pieces of life that often go unnoticed; from the fine lines of feathers to the spores of a dandelion. Through watercolor I explore the organic patterns and intricate details impressed on everything from the earth.

My paintings are a mix of the modern city I came from, and the natural land I live in now. As a child I also spent quite a bit of time in Mexico, which I occasionally find hints of in my work.
